New Fashion Pork hosted an open house in celebration of the completion of the Round Lake Feed Mill. The community of Round Lake and NFP supporters were invited to tour the new feed mill and enjoy a meal of grilled pork loin with all the fixings.
During the ribbon cutting ceremony, Brad Freking acknowledged Weitz Contracting of Des Moines, Iowa and Interstates Construction & Control Systems out of Sioux Center, Iowa for the construction of the mill, which required a total of 45,000 man hours.
He credited feed mill manager Kevin Moore and nutritionist Chad Hastad, for their insight and planning of the new mill.
Feed production began at the new facility July 1st.
