Animal Care
New Fashion Pork stands firm in the belief that our family of employees and growers have a high moral responsibility to treat our animals with the dignity and respect they deserve. Our employees and growers are trained to carefully monitor the animal's comfort and well-being on the farm, through daily observations, individual animal care, and humane animal handling.
We have implemented strict bio-security protocols which help prevent disease entry into our herds, and follows standard operation procedures for all of our daily tasks. These protocols give our employees and growers step-by-step instructions on how to properly care for our animals.
New Fashion Pork houses their animals in systems that provide high standards of safety and care for the animals, growers, and staff. We provide a diet that meets the animals specific nutritional needs during each stage of the animal's life. Our team constantly monitors the air and water quality in our facilities to ensure the animals are always comfortable.
We personally strive to exceed industry standards by providing continuous training for our team. Currently, all NFP employees and growers are required to be PQA+® and TQA® certified. All of our farm facilities are PQA+® Site assessed and we internally audit all our sites on a quarterly basis. Both the assessments and audits ensure our animals are well-cared for and all protocols are being followed at all times. We participate in third party audits to analyze our standards of animal care and review our systems protocols on an annual basis.
Our employees and growers are held to high standards of animal care. These standards are set upon employment, when the individual is required to sign our comprehensive Animal Welfare Policy Agreement. Finally, we provide monthly safety trainings for our employees, ensuring they are always knowledgeable of their environment and the care they are giving the animals on their farm.
